After gaining the votes from the
5 judges of the WBO as the winner of his fight with Bradley, he is set to
return to the United States next week where he is supposed to have a dinner
with Top Rank executives and discuss his opponent for November. I for one am
eagerly awaiting on who his next opponent will be. I am hoping it would still
be Bradley rather than Marquez but hey, the decision is Pacquiao’s alone and
nobody else.
It has been reported that
Pacquiao will have two options for opponents. First is a rematch with Timothy
Bradley, who recently beat him with unanimous decision from the judges of their
recent fight. Many people who watched the fight thinks Pacquiao is the winner
and Bradley needs to prove to the world once again if he really can beat
Pacquiao on a fair fight. The next opponent on the list is Pacquiao’s very
well-known rival, Juan Manuel Marquez.
There are still a lot of things
to consider before Pacquiao and his camp and even Bob Arum’s camp decide on the
next opponent of the Philippines’ Boxing Champion. Will people still pay to
watch Manny and Bradley go at it again when it’s very clear to everyone’s eyes
who the better boxer is? Will people pay for a fourth fight between Pacquiao
and Marquez even if most of their fights turned up to be very controversial?
Bob Arum will have to consider which fight will draw the most crowd and earn
the most both on tickets and PPV. Who do you think will Pacquiao fight this November?
